EDUCATION TRANSFORMATION

Providing quality Christ-Centered education is at the core of Edify’s mission. The Educational Transformation department seeks to help school proprietors and individuals build a sound and intentionally inviting school environment and provide the right teaching and learning materials for teachers and students. This is achieved through the departments carefully developed trainings, supported by in-school coaching and support to ensure the full implementation of training lessons.

 

Programmes

Edify Leadership Institute

An annual conference on education for school leaders who have participated in all school leadership trainings to enable them learn more and focus on the theme of the Edify new fiscal year.

School Leadership Trainings

These trainings are specially designed for proprietors, head teachers, or directors of schools. It comprises of 3 modules: a) Conditions for Learning, b) Early Childhood Development Training, c) Leading for Learning. They are tailored towards providing effective leadership strategies, instructional leadership in schools, best practices in early childhood learning and fostering effective teaching and learning outcomes.

Edify Annual Reading Festival

This annual event brings together students and teachers of efficient reading clubs to promote literacy activities and foster the love of reading in children.

Classroom Management Training

Supported by the Foundation First Charitable Trust, early childhood teachers are trained in how to practically manage their classrooms to improve literacy and quality education.

Phonics by Phone Training

Supported by Participatory Development Associates, teachers are trained on phonics and phonics assessment, following a systematic lesson plan to help the child learn to read.

School Reading Corners & Reading Clubs

Schools are motivated with books to create reading corners and clubs in schools to improve literacy.

School Visits & Follow-ups

Education Specialists visit schools regularly to coach school leaders and follow up on the implementation of lessons.
