A New Dawn with Edify

A New Dawn with Edify

When an opportunity presents itself, there is only one thing to do with it. Take it, connect to the idea and strongly believe in it.

It was on the 2nd day of December, 2019 when I got the privilege to start working in Edify Ghana as a book keeping intern. Having been a full time staff for some time elsewhere before this, made it difficult coming to terms with it initially. I was hesitant but accepted the role offered choosing to see it as a learning curve.

Fast forward a few months into my internship, I found my experiences to be more profitable than anticipated. Access to a new corporate accounting software and applications made me gain additional practical knowledge in my field of work and a rare opportunity to meet high calibre of people to build my social capital was just amazing.

The holistic approach of Edify’s concern towards staff physical and spiritual welfare placed my entire life in check and in shape. The working environment created taught me the need to care for others just as Christ did. My spiritual life keeps growing as we share in fellowship with the Ghana Team, the African Team and the Global Team.

I cannot recount the joy that filled my heart when I called some of our vendors to pray with them during the peak season of the Corona virus in 2020. I recall how grateful DM Management Services; our car rental service partner was. He said “Oh I thought you were following up on a receipt. I am very much grateful for the call and prayers in this season”. His words brought me an incredible warmth and peace knowing that I have touched a life by praying with them.

Hard work pays; it never goes unrewarded. Edify as an organization recognizes hard work and appreciates it duly. After nine months of internship, I have become a full-time employee, diving deeper into my area of work and interactions. Looking back, I can say God has been merciful and I am thankful to the Holy Spirit for the prompt to accept this great offer disguised as internship.

Edify is where lives are transformed not just for corporate environment but also to meet the soon  coming King.  I love my organization, I love my team; God bless the Ghana team and long live Edify.
